Tara Thessen To All Instructors

Tara graduated from JMU in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. After graduating, she moved to the Richmond area to work in IT at Capital One where she stayed for 10 years before starting a family. Tara's always been passionate about public speaking as her willingness to speak in front of a group has always opened doors. She enjoys helping students get past their fears and to build their tolerance for speaking so that it's no longer intimidating! Tara's other passion is all things dairy goats. Much of her time is spent running Rockville Ridge, where the family breeds and milks a herd of show quality dairy goats and runs a raw milk herdshare program. Tara and her husband have 4 kids ages 16-9 - most attend CCA. When not on the farm they enjoy attending the kid's sporting events or recitals, going to the beach, and hiking.
