Doreen Keevis To All Instructors

Doreen Keevis and her husband Jonathan have a blended family of six children. Doreen’s teaching journey began when she was just 16, working as an assistant teacher to a 3-year-old class at Central Christian Academy’s afterschool and summer school programs. In 2005, she graduated from Atlantic Baptist Bible College with an associate’s degree in Bible Theology.In her younger years, Doreen actively participated in running a preschool homeschool co-op for her church community, taught pre-K at a local daycare, and continued to teach in various settings, both formal and informal. In 2020, she transitioned from teaching to a full-time nanny share position where she had the joy of caring for three children.CCA played a pivotal role in the successful graduation of her oldest children, Jeremiah and Alyssa Hood. They have since moved on to college and embarked on successful careers in ministry. Doreen started back at preschool with her 3-year-old, Eden, and has found immense joy in this next chapter. It has reignited her passion for teaching and sharing the joy of learning with children beyond her own family. She is thrilled to be tutoring at CCA.In her free time, Doreen enjoys puzzling, reading, and watching movies with her family.
